Russell Mills
Russell Mills is a well-respected visual medium artist from the UK who has had many of his own exhibits around the world over the past two decades. His work generally has an earthy, worn, stained effect, and he often uses objects such as rope, sticks, bones, feathers, metal, etc.
He has created album cover artworks for many notable musicians, including: Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Roger Eno, David Sylvian, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & Michael Brook, and for Nine Inch Nails on the album The Downward Spiral.\n\nIn the late 90's Russell Mills released two music CDs under the project name "Undark". These albums are collaborations with: both Enos, Sylvian, Brook, Bill Laswell, Robin Guthrie (ex Cocteau Twins), The Edge, and quite a few others. Russell himself does "sound-sculpting" on these records, mixing various sound samples into the music and doing the overall production. Naturally, he also provided his own album artwork.
