I know it's mentioned in the TV thread but fuck it I'M STARTING A NEW THREAD.

FYI, if this wasn't the last season I'd probably stop watching because the show is getting a little silly for me.

AND WHY WAS DESMOND ON THE GODDAMN PLANE?

I think this was the weakest season premiere so far.

This ways definitely the weakest premiere so far. That underwater CGI was pretty bad too. Nothing much else to say about that episode. Naut is right in that the show is getting a little too silly, but I think I would keep watching even if this wasn't the last season. I have too much time invested into this show not to see it to its end.

I was wondering about that too r00.

I also agree it is getting a bit too silly. I'm glad this is the last season. At this point I don't think I even much care how they end it, long as they wrap it up before they ruin it completely.

I felt like the episode was WAY too long. It just kept going and going and I didn't felt rewarded at all for the time investment. Sayid wakes up? That's my OMG moment?

Wrong.

I also feel like the dialogue is getting a little too Matrix at points.

"Why am I here?"
"You are here because you have to be."
"Who are you?"
"I am here to help you."

Non-answers delivered by characters is a hallmark of poor writing.

BUT ALAS I MUST SEE THE END!

I never got around to reviewing the first ep, and now i don't feel like it. Meh.

r00- great theory. I love it.
Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life. Electric word, life. It means forever and that's a mighty long time. But I'm here to tell you there's something else - the afterworld. A world of never-ending happiness. You can always see the sun, day or night. So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills, you know the one, Dr. Everything'll-Be-All-right, instead of asking him how much of your time is left, ask him how much of your mind, baby. 'Cause in this life, things are much harder than in the afterworld. This life you're on your own. And if the elevator tries to bring you down, go crazy - punch a higher floor.

I'm confused, someone help me out... Sun is still like 30 years ahead of the rest of the islanders, right? In the sneak peak for NEXT week's episode we see Locke 2 talking to Sawyer...

Last night's episode was horrific. HORRIFIC.

nope. everyone's in the right timeline now. when the bomb went off everyone jumped to the same time that locke/smokemonster and the ojira passengers are in.

and really? no one's liking this so far?
i finally caught up with a marathon viewing session of season 5 to now and loving this.
last night's ep wasn't thaaat amazing, but it was still moving the story along.

i think this is the first time i've even posted in a lost thread.
i feel like i finally time-flashed to the right era.

anyway, if anyone thinks the show's that bad... stop watching.
that's what i did with heroes and alias and prisonbreak and i didn't lose any sleep not seeing how it all wrapped up.

so question to you fans:
1) at what point did lost start sucking?
2) why are you still watching?

1) last season
2) because I've invested so much time in it

i wouldn't say "sucking" but the show def. peaked during seasons 2/3. This season has a ton of potential, though.

What Kristin said minus the "ton of potential" bit.

Seriously Lost writers? Episode two of the final season and THAT'S what you came up with? I don't think Lost sucks but I do think at this point due to all the build up and length of time we've been waiting for answers likely none they come up with will be satisfying. So that's why I think I'm finding this season a little disapointing.

I admit I laughed when they zoomed in on Claire at the end. Like it was supose to be a ZOMG moment and just came across silly.

1) The first time the show really sucked balls was during the first six episodes of season three. I remember thinking during that stretch that I might not be able to make it through LOST. But it pulled out of that slump, and the end of season three became awesome. LOST has been hitting it's high and low points ever since. Yeah, I'm complaining right now that the show is moving at a snail's pace, but I have faith it will pick up again. It's funny because all the people I hear from who have been watching the show live for over three seasons are pretty much complaining right now. Though the people I hear from who have only seen one live season or less are pretty much satisfied with LOST right now.

2) I already kind of answered this, but it's mainly for two reasons. I have too much time involved in this show to stop watching. It's the only TV show that I really even watch. The other reason would be that I have faith in LOST turning it up and kicking some ass. Next week's episode looks really good.

Well my thoughts so far is that everything going on at the temple has been very entertaining. LA X parts 1 and 2 were overall very nice.

Now the bad things...

The underwater island scene (just wow)
The whole Kate episode was pretty much just filler... We want to see Locke's group!

The thing about Kate is that we already know her whole story- it's old. There's nothing new about it at all. Episodes that are Kate-centric are very boring for that reason- we get it. She's on the run. Whatever. ZZZZZZ.

I'm looking forward to tonight's episode- it has to be better than last week's.
