Does it mean, like you just live and go along without really paying attention or striving to get ahead? Like how animals are viewed? They just live. They do not have jobs, they don't constantly question creation or the meaning of life. They just accept things and that is that. So, if you as a human can do that, you'll be okay. ???

It feels good that something is happening.

I feel kinda let down though. It's a vague uneasiness, like the idea that my Christmas present was mis-labeled and meant for someone else, but no one's saying anything to save embarassment.

Then again, foreplay is foreplay.

note: no, my two analogies do not directly relate

I have finally figured out the modern definition of the word "whore."
whore: female who makes you jealous because she has sex with people who are not you.

Mayhaps. If we picked out the inconsistencies of the personailities of everyone on the board, though, it'd be a nice old fashioned flame fest.

meathead, on Jul 6 2003, 12:24 AM, said:

Those whom heaven helps we call the sons of heaven. They do not learn by learning. They do not work by working. They do not reason by using reason. To let understanding stop at what cannot be understood is a high attainment. Those who cannot do it will be destroyed upon the Lathe of Heaven.-Chuang Tse: XXIII

Hrm, I had some interesting comments about that particular verse, but I've retracting from spilling them out here. I think I'm too much of a cynical bastard with too strong a belief about the "sons of heaven" to make plausible intellectual contribution to such a discussion concerning those who "will be destroyed upon the Lathe of Heaven".
