Refer to the Nov. 25 update of The NIN Hotline. That's the sum total of what the public knows about Bleedthrough.

Everything known about the album has been derived from this AP article (which I stole from the nin hotline, which I would advise you to go for your news before a dboard, for future reference):

Quote

"The record explores loss and possible discovery of self," says Trent Reznor about the follow-up to 1999's The Fragile, "along with alternate layers of reality and perception set inside a nightmare you can't seem to wake up from; with lots of feedback." Reznor has enlisted Atticus Ross, Jerome Dillon, Leo Herrera, mix engineer Rich Costey and Rick Rubin to help mold bleedthrough, which will feature new songs such as "The Line Begins To Blur," "Everyday Is Exactly The Same" and "My Dead Friend." This time out, Reznor is introducing high-tech to low-life. "Computers, among other things, are ruining music these days," he says. "I hate the Pro Tooled sound of perfection and everything being 'fixed.' This record is most definitely 'un-fixed.'" And when it comes to touring behind the release, T. Rez is planning on reinventing the will. "It won't be the last tour over again. That person isn't here anymore." [JP] (as in Jason Pettigrew, probably)

Ø

EDIT: rynne beat me to it; however, I will keep this post as is, since the question will undoubtedly rise again.

I've never understood people's affinity with explaining which album they've been listening to and why. Especially when they're new.

Also note that this is an observation, and not a flame.

You know me better than that, don't you?

EDIT: And to comply with forum rules, I'll even answer the question.

No. There is no new news. If there was new news, you'd probably see it elsewhere on the board.

hello, morb. i see you haven't met the now playing thread? :P

as for the new record, some radio stations have also confirmed the record coming out next year... but they're probably just reciting what they already read.

That's the stupidest rumour I've ever heard.

Irony.

I heard on the radio (last week) that bleedthrough will be available this year.
"None of the dead can rise up and answer our questions. But from all that they have left behind, their imperishable or slowly dissolving gear, we may perhaps hear voices, 'which are now only whispers, when everything else has become silent,' to quote Linnaeus." (Bjorn Kurten, 1984).

And as we all know, lightning never strikes the same place twice.* Therefore, you can know that everything you hear on the radio from now on is false, including the BLEEDTHROUGH info.
Any more questions?

Best to be explicit; I hope this'll do some good, despite being buried in this thread:

Official Bleedthrough updates can be found in the "current" and "access" sections of nin.com.
