RollingStone.com has updated with a new article on the current NIN happenings:

Rick Rubin (Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Beastie Boys, Johnny Cash) is producing the record. "It's kind of a new vibe this time around," says Reznor. "Different people, different approach.

He has worked with him before on Further Down the Spiral. Judging from Rick Rubin's eclectic work history, I would say he is a relevant choice for almost any musical genre.

Not only that, but Rubin's been begging Trent to let him produce since TDS, and I guess he finally wore him down, heh.

I didn't know Rick Rubin did some work on Further Down, that's not as odd as the rest of Trent's choices I guess.

Sorry, but where are you getting this "Bleedthrough" stuff from? Maybe I am mistaken but it sounds like back in 96-97 when an album was named that never surfaced! I doubt he would name his album that anyway. I looked in the Official page and I see no reference to it. Knowing Trent it will be a while- people just don't have the patience to wait for something great. I know all the teenie boppers probably didn't like The Fragile, but it just shows to me he is maturing as an artist. I have always thought it was worth the wait. Of course I am one month youger than him so I guess I have a different viewpoint than the 18 yr. olds that know nothing about good music... :hehe:

o_O um, well several rolling stone blurbs have mentioned it. uhh let's see... trent calls it by name in the q&a sections of nin.com.

Now I have a question for you. What makes you think we were making this stuff up?

I'm two months older than Trent, and I know I've got a better viewpoint than you, at the very least. Ol'Gloomy and I might have a few aesthetic parting of the ways as well.

Source: Rolling Stone, ever read it?

Nine Inch Nails are at work on their fourth album, Bleed Through*, in Los Angeles. Trent Reznor and Co. hope to finish it by summer and release it later this year.

OK, I'm sorry if I sounded offensive. I guess I got sick of all the rumors that went on for yrs. before The Fragile finally came out. It's hard to believe some of the stuff you hear. As for the age thing, I guess NIN is one of the few bands that has a following with such a wide age range. That is unique. My Dad likes them and he is 65, but he knows good music when he hears it- he was a radio disc jockey before he retired so I suppose he has an open mind. Again, I apologize.

Actually no; on 5/22 Trent answered a question in the "access" section at nin.com that asked if the lawsuits in question were going to affect the release of the record and his answer was "absolutely not."

i also read that article, but i did, however, contact a friend who's father knows Trent Reznor a little bit, omething about him going inside the studio and listening to his new songs, this friend's father says: "it's much different from his other recordings, but they're quite awesome songs"
