John Malm
Since 1987, Malm has managed Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails. In the early 2000s Reznor discovered that his former close friend duped him into signing a contract giving Malm 20% of his gross earnings rather than net earnings and letting Malm collect the commission forever. Trent sued, and the case went to court in 2005 with the decision going in Trent's favour. He was awarded 3 million dollars in damages and regained full control of all NIN trademarks.
